Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Tri Thang said that, based on the directives and instructions of the Central Committee and the Working Regulations of the Government Party Executive Committee, on June 30, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee issued Decision No. 175-QD/DU, establishing a team of social opinion collaborators of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 35 comrades, and Decision No. 176-QD/DU promulgating the Working Regulations of social opinion collaborators of the Government Party Committee.

Mr. Vu Tri Thang emphasized that before establishing the team of social opinion collaborators of the Government Party Committee, a number of comrades who were social opinion collaborators at the Party Committees of corporations, general companies, banks (under the former Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc), the Party Committees of ministries, branches, agencies (under the former Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc) were still proactive, continuing to maintain the routine of grasping and reflecting the ideological situation and social opinion, sending it to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Government Party Committee, helping to synthesize and report the situation without interruption.

Since its establishment, the content reflected by the team of social opinion collaborators on the ideological situation and social opinion of cadres, party members and workers in the Government Party Committee has been one of the important sources of information for the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to synthesize and report to the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee, and has been highly appreciated by the leaders.

However, Mr. Vu Tri Thang acknowledged that although some initial results have been achieved, it can be seen that public opinion work in general, and in the Party and Government in particular, still faces many difficulties.

First of all, regarding the number of collaborators, according to Instruction No. 167 of 2015 of the Central Propaganda Department, the number of social opinion collaborators at the provincial, municipal and equivalent levels is from 30 to a maximum of 35 people. Meanwhile, the Government Party Committee has 51 subordinate Party Committees, so currently some units do not have social opinion collaborators of the Government Party Committee.

Besides, due to the increasingly high task requirements and changes in organization and apparatus, the current team of collaborators really needs to be trained and fostered in the work of grasping, reflecting the ideological situation, synthesizing and orienting public opinion to ensure timeliness, practicality and effectiveness.

At the conference, Ms. Tu Thuy Quynh, Deputy Head of the Department of Research - Social Opinion, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, expressed that in the context of favorable conditions mixed with challenges, information on cyberspace is dense and changes rapidly, if the content that social opinion collaborators reflect is not timely, not topical, not sensitive and really not of quality, then surely the leaders will have many other information channels to listen to.

"Public opinion work requires professional courage, a broad knowledge base, and alertness in selecting, verifying, and quantifying the 'hotness' of issues. We must understand what leaders need to hear and what advice they need from social voices," Ms. Tu Thuy Quynh emphasized.

At the conference, representatives of ministries, branches, corporations and general companies shared difficulties and problems in implementing social opinion work in their units.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Vu Tri Thang, Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, expressed his hope that the team of social opinion collaborators would continue to promote the achieved results. He emphasized that the tasks in the coming time will be very heavy; propaganda work, including capturing and reflecting public opinion, needs to be deployed promptly to report to the Party, State and Government leaders to serve close direction.
