On the afternoon of July 18, at the Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province, the Border Guard Command organized an Exchange Club "Women who love and preserve lullabies and folk songs" in 2024. 5 teams from the Border Guard of the provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri with 80 members participated in the Exchange. Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Border Guard attended and gave a speech.
Major General Tran Van Bung, Chief of Political Affairs of the Border Guard and Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Commander of the Border Guard of Quang Binh province presented souvenir flags to representatives of the teams participating in the exchange.
Speaking at the opening of the exchange, Major General Tran Van Bung, member of the Standing Committee of the Border Guard Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard, said that the exchange program is a meaningful activity, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on building, preserving and promoting the unique values of advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity; Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW, dated June 4, 2020 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development; at the same time, contributing to promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
“Organizing the festival event in Quang Binh province, a place with a tradition of revolutionary heroes, the hometown of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the hometown of Suot's mother - a typical heroic woman of Vietnamese women in the resistance war against the US to save the country; is a place where natural and cultural elements of both the North and the South converge,” Major General Tran Van Bung emphasized.
According to the Political Commissar of the Border Guard, through the exchange, it aims to propagate and educate female officers and members of the Border Guard to actively participate in cultural and artistic activities, contributing to preserving and promoting lullabies and folk songs - a precious traditional cultural feature of the nation; to evaluate the essence of cultural and artistic movements in association activities of women's associations at grassroots units in the Border Guard. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for female officers and members of the Border Guard to exchange experiences, improve knowledge, skills, and methods of association work; contribute to improving the quality of cultural and artistic activities in agencies and units, enriching the cultural and spiritual life of officers and soldiers.
Performance at the exchange program
The exchange program of each team is no more than 35 minutes long, structured into 2 parts, including: Introduction to the unit and the locality where the troops are stationed; propaganda using lullabies and folk songs (scenes, musical scenes, dramas, dance dramas using lullabies and folk songs as music... or newly composed songs based on traditional lullabies and folk songs).
5 teams from the Border Guard Women's Association of 5 provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri sent to the exchange program unique performances, rich in genres, diverse in content; with many attractive, creative and engaging scenes, such as: Folk song suites of the Border Guard Women's Association of Quang Binh; the scene "Red Flower River" of the Border Guard Women's Association of Quang Tri province; the scene "Love of the Countryside" of the Border Guard Women's Association of Thanh Hoa province...
The participating performances were all invested in and elaborately staged by the Border Guard Command of 5 provinces, with storylines, highlighting ideological themes, reflecting the activities of women in each agency and unit in spreading love for the homeland, remembering the great President Ho Chi Minh, heroes, mothers, and soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the cause of national liberation; propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the Vietnam Border Law...
The participating performances were all invested in and elaborately staged by the Border Guard Command of 5 provinces, accurately reflecting the activities of women in each unit.
Speaking at the program, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Border Guard warmly praised and congratulated the teams on the results achieved in the exchange program. The performances showed richness in genre, diversity in content, and vividness in performance. The folk songs and traditional lullabies performed by the actors aroused in the hearts of listeners faith, pride, and awareness of preserving and promoting traditional values imbued with national identity.
"Watching the program, I was very happy, excited and moved. The female soldiers, who usually wear solemn military uniforms, today transformed on stage into the roles of mothers and wives, very ordinary, with lullabies and folk songs that touched people's hearts...", Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan shared.
