
With the desire to increase the value of local agricultural products, from 2019 up to now, Ms. Vy Thi Lua, a member of the Women's Union of Mu Cai Pha village, Chi Lang commune, Director of the Lua Vy Agricultural Products Processing Cooperative, has purchased a number of agricultural products from people in the commune and neighboring areas to process into drinks and foods such as turmeric starch, fish leaf tea, wild guava tea... In 2021, she won the "Enhancing the brand of OCOP products" award, the highest award at the Women's Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU).
In addition to selling directly and distributing to supermarkets, Ms. Lua has proactively researched, promoted, introduced and sold products on digital platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, Youtube, Tiktok. Currently, her Facebook page attracts nearly 60,000 followers, Tiktok "Lua Vy" has over 27,000 followers, thereby attracting customers and increasing revenue. From the beginning of 2025 until now, the cooperative has achieved revenue of over 1 billion VND. Ms. Lua shared: In the current new era, selling on digital platforms is an inevitable direction, meeting the needs of consumers. We select and build content to promote and introduce products, while spreading the image of ethnic minority women to a wide audience. Up to 80% of the cooperative's products are known and purchased by consumers through digital platforms.
Ms. Lua is one of the typical women, a pioneer in developing business on digital platforms in the province. Not only in the economic field, women members are keeping up with digital transformation in many fields. Ms. Vu Thi Huyen Trang, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, Head of the Women's Affairs Department of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, emphasized: Implementing Resolution No. 49, dated September 28, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on digital transformation to 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Provincial Women's Union has identified digital transformation as one of the key tasks, a breakthrough in innovating the operation methods of the union. The Provincial Women's Union Standing Committee has issued many directives, plans, and specific instructions, deployed to 100% of union bases in the area. In which, union officials at all levels must be pioneers, digital transformation in work, organizing women's movements, spreading the "Digital Education for All" movement to female union members.
Accordingly, the Provincial Women's Union has directed all levels of the union to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the activities of all levels of the union; increase the use of digital platforms and digital media products in propaganda activities; apply artificial intelligence (AI) in work. Currently, 100% of union officials are proficient in using membership management software and statistical reporting software; 100% of union levels have Zalo groups and Facebook accounts to broadcast union activities. Ms. Lang Thi Le Thuy, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tam Thanh Ward, President of the Women's Union of the ward, said: The ward has more than 6,500 members and 26 branches. We regularly propagate and disseminate the views, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on digital transformation, science and technology development, innovation, and popularization of digital knowledge and skills for union members and women. At the same time, we encourage members to become propagandists to popularize digital knowledge and skills for all classes of people. We are promoting the movement of "Digital literacy" among members. Up to now, the ward has over 5,800 members who have installed and used the electronic identification VneID, over 5,000 members have opened electronic payment accounts; over 3,000 women have been instructed in digital skills.
Notably, on September 10, the Provincial Women's Union organized a launching ceremony for the "Digital Education for All" movement and the "Digital Front" platform among women's unions at all levels in the province. This is an important activity, demonstrating the consensus and determination of the unions at all levels in pioneering digital transformation. The unions at all levels focus on raising awareness and essential digital skills for union members, women, especially the elderly, women in rural, remote, isolated areas or those with little exposure to technology, helping women union members access and utilize digital technology in life, improve labor productivity, create new job opportunities and contribute to building a digital society and digital citizens.
With the support of the Women's Union, Lang Son women will continue to seize opportunities, innovate their thinking, become digital citizens, and contribute to building Lang Son to become increasingly rich, civilized, and modern in the digital age.
