Phu Tho: More than 1,200 Nitori Company workers collectively stopped working to demand bonuses

Specifically, on August 11, 2025, the Company announced the payment of summer bonuses at 6 levels, based on performance and personnel evaluation in the first 6 months of the year. However, after receiving the bonus on August 15, many workers reacted strongly because the average bonus in 2025 was only 1.12 months of salary, lower than the level of 1.4 months in 2024. In particular, the large difference between levels 3 and 4 (a difference of 0.32 months of salary) further raised doubts about the transparency of the evaluation.

Disagreeing with the above bonus calculation method, on the morning of August 18, about 590/763 morning shift workers stopped working. In the afternoon of the same day, the total number of people stopped working reached 1,238/1,675 people. Accordingly, the workers asked the Company to adjust the bonus policy and at the same time protested the unsatisfactory dialogue from the Company's leadership.
