On the morning of August 1, the People's Committee of Ha Long Ward held a launching ceremony to carry out a peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and safety for Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, and at the same time serving the country's important commemorative activities.

Ha Long Ward was established on the basis of merging 2 wards: Hong Ha and Hong Hai, which is the political , economic and cultural center of Quang Ninh province. After the arrangement, the ward has a natural area of ​​6.08 km2; a population of 52,909 people; 27 neighborhoods, 233 residential groups; 11 public schools and 2 medical stations.

In Ha Long ward, there are many administrative agencies of the province, architectural, cultural and tourist works that are symbolic of the locality; along with a system of accommodation service businesses.

In recent times, the security and order situation in Ha Long ward has been basically stable. However, there are still potential complications, especially crimes related to drugs, theft in residential areas; high-tech crimes of online fraud; "black credit" activities causing social instability; violations of traffic safety and order, illegal racing by teenagers.

The peak period is divided into two phases. The first phase, from August 1 to September 14, focuses on attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order, serving the opening of the new school year and important political and social activities in the area. The second phase, from September 15 to October 14, focuses on maintaining security and order to serve the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and many important political and cultural events of the locality.

The key contents of the peak period include: Mobilizing maximum forces and means to promptly detect, combat, and strictly handle all types of crimes; effectively implementing administrative management of social order; strengthening propaganda, mobilization, and timely reconciliation of conflicts among the people; promoting the transformation and education of wrongdoers in the community...
