“Sweet fruits” from breakthroughs

Hai Duong City Land Clearance Board actively implements land clearance work for Vu Cong Dan Street Renovation and Expansion Project

Positive results

2023 is the second consecutive year that Hai Duong City has identified site clearance on schedule as a breakthrough task. During the year, the city has selected 12 projects to carry out this breakthrough task. In order to create a clean site for the projects, from the beginning of the year, Hai Duong City People's Committee has developed an implementation plan for each project, linked to the responsibilities of units and individuals; at the same time, requiring agencies, units and localities to strictly implement coordination regulations to speed up the site clearance progress of works and projects.

With high determination and synchronous solutions, in 2023, Hai Duong City completed the approval of the compensation and support plan for site clearance with an amount of more than 500 billion VND, exceeding the annual plan by nearly 70%. "Key projects with large workloads and urgent implementation time, related to land recovery of nearly 1,000 households, including hundreds of households recovering residential land, have also been completed on schedule such as the Vo Van Kiet Avenue Construction Project and the Vu Cong Dan Street Renovation and Expansion Project", Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Director of the City Site Clearance Board added.

2023 is also a "bumper crop" year for OCOP products in Tu Ky district. Recently, the district has organized the assessment and classification of products, of which 23 products have achieved OCOP 3 stars or higher (exceeding the target of 18 products), of which 3 products have been proposed to the province for recognition as OCOP 4 stars. To achieve the above results, Tu Ky district has chosen to develop OCOP products as one of the breakthroughs to focus on. Along with financial support, the locality has accompanied, guided and supported the subjects in implementing the steps from surveying, granting certificates, identifying brands to linking and consuming products.

As a business with 3 agarwood products proposed for 4-star OCOP recognition, Mr. Bui Duc Binh, Director of Bao Loc Production, Trade and Service Company Limited in Quang Nghiep commune, said: "The business has been guided enthusiastically and responsibly by the district's agricultural officers in implementing the stages and processes from hiring consultants, preparing documents to developing products that meet OCOP standards. We are currently planning to change packaging and organize promotions to expand the consumption market when the products are officially recognized by the province as 4-star OCOP."

Discipline

Along with breakthrough tasks to promote socio-economic development, many localities in the province also selected and proposed tasks to improve the efficiency and quality of Party building and political system work. In 2023, Thanh Mien district identified improving the quality and effectiveness of inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement in the Party as one of the four breakthrough tasks to focus on leading and organizing implementation. Party committees and Inspection Committees at 2 levels in Thanh Mien have added inspections and supervisions according to political task requirements; strengthened inspections of signs of violations to detect and prevent violations early. Disciplinary work within the Party, administrative and union discipline for violating organizations and individuals has been synchronized, timely and strict. Party committees and Inspection Committees at 2 levels have completed all inspections and supervisions according to the program. The District Party Committee's Inspection Committee inspected 8 party members and 3 party organizations when there were signs of violations, an increase of 6 party members and 2 party organizations inspected compared to 2022. The Party Committee and the grassroots Inspection Committee inspected 10 party organizations and 32 party members when there were signs of violations. All violations were handled strictly, publicly and transparently.

The outstanding and comprehensive results achieved by Hai Duong in 2023 also had an important contribution from the selection and implementation of breakthrough works. The Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to direct the implementation of exemplary registration of cadres and party members, leaders and managers at all levels, including registration of innovative breakthrough works and approval of registration to monitor and evaluate the implementation results. In 2023, the Provincial Party Standing Committee approved 170 innovative and breakthrough works of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders and managers at the level of heads of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. The results of those breakthrough works contributed significantly to helping the province's economic growth reach over 9%; completing the formulation of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; performing well in social security work; developing the Party, etc.

The above results show that after 2 years of implementation, the registration and implementation of breakthrough work by Party committees, authorities, and each cadre and Party member are really getting into order, creating positive changes and being the foundation for agencies, units, and localities in Hai Duong to perform their tasks well.
