On October 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, UOB Vietnam Bank, in collaboration with Oxalis Adventure under the auspices of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, announced a strategic partnership to promote the "Kingdom of Caves - Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park" and eco -tourism in Vietnam to UOB customers in 5 countries in the ASEAN region including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Through this special partnership, UOB cardholders in the above countries will enjoy a 10% discount when booking tours operated by Oxalis in Phong Nha - Ke Bang. This is a rare opportunity to explore the UNESCO-recognized natural wonders, while also encouraging the choice of responsible and sustainable forms of tourism.
In parallel, UOB Vietnam will launch a year-end loyalty program exclusively for domestic customers. With only 1,000 visitors allowed each year and tours usually filling up 1 to 1.5 years in advance, the Son Doong journey is one of the world’s rarest and most sought-after adventure experiences. Since its launch in 2013, the tour has welcomed more than 8,500 visitors and contributed to the local economy and nature conservation efforts.
This cooperation takes place in the context of adventure tourism in the Asia-Pacific region is strongly recovering. Recently, the prestigious international travel magazine Travel and Leisure also honored 6 caves in Quang Tri as destinations not to be missed when exploring Vietnam including: Son Doong, En Cave, Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Tu Lan Cave system and Va Cave. Each cave possesses unique geological features and offers a fascinating exploration experience.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding today marks an important milestone in positioning Vietnam as a leading eco-tourism destination in the region.

According to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, since the beginning of the year, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has welcomed more than 836,900 visitors, reflecting the strong growth of the tourism industry in this area. Of which, the number of domestic visitors reached more than 688,000, an increase of 2% over the same period last year. In particular, the number of international visitors exceeded 148,000, an increase of 18%, showing clear signs of recovery.
The management board aims to exceed 1 million visitors this year, with a special focus on attracting foreign visitors, to affirm Phong Nha - Ke Bang's position as a leading destination for eco-tourism and exploration in Vietnam./.
