Military Region 3 organizes the Military Emulation Congress for Victory in the 2019-2024 period

On the morning of August 9, in Hai Phong city, Military Region 3 organized the Emulation Congress for Victory of the Military Region's armed forces for the period 2019-2024. Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and congratulated.

Attending the event were comrades in the Party Committee Standing Committee, heads of the Military Region 3 Command; representatives of the Ministry of National Defense , the Navy, the 12th Corps, leaders and commanders of agencies and units under Military Region 3 and 98 comrades representing typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the International Patriotic Movement of the Military Region 3.

Over the past 5 years, the work of TĐ-KT and the TĐQT movement of the Military Region 3's armed forces have been deployed comprehensively, closely, with a focus, key points, and continuously developed in both breadth and depth, truly being a great driving force to encourage and motivate officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties and excel in performing their tasks. Many creative movements and models have been deployed in various aspects of work such as: "Three realities", "Good teaching, good learning, good service" in training and education; "Unit without soldiers violating discipline", "Legal advisory group" in building a disciplined system; "Unit with good military training, good military supplies management", "Model technical week", "Good vehicle maintenance, safe driving" of the logistics and technical sectors, contributing to helping agencies and units successfully complete assigned tasks.

The movements and campaigns that were carried out vigorously and widely mobilized the combined strength; turning ideological awareness into revolutionary actions of the troops. Over the past 5 years, the Military Region's armed forces have had 3,838 advanced models recognized and honored from the grassroots level to the Military Region; 16 collectives and individuals were honored at the Ministry of National Defense level; 1 collective was awarded, 1 individual was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, 1 comrade was awarded the title of People's Artist; 548 collectives and 17,373 individuals were commended by the State, Government, and Ministry of National Defense; 1,951 collectives and 20,397 individuals were commended by the Military Region 3 Command.

Sticking to the Congress theme of "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Determination to Win", the presentations agreed with the content of the central report, and at the same time supplemented and clarified the current situation, causes, lessons learned and specific solutions to carry out the work of TĐ-KT and the TĐQT Movement of the Military Region 3. The opinions of the delegates contributing to the Congress demonstrated their mettle and intelligence, converging valuable experiences and lessons drawn from rich and vivid practices with creative and effective thinking, working methods and models.

Appreciating the practicality of the presentations, and at the same time acknowledging and praising the results of the International Emulation Movement of the Military Region's Armed Forces, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, suggested that in the coming time, the Party Committee and the Military Region Command regularly educate and make emulation a voluntary and regular activity of officers and soldiers; focus on innovating the content, form, and methods of organizing emulation activities, linking emulation with rewards, linking rewards with personnel work and policy work. Agencies and units should strive to emulate to successfully carry out central political tasks; thoroughly resolve weak links and weaknesses; create a strong breakthrough in training, combat readiness, build a regular routine, discipline, and build a strong and comprehensive Military Region's Armed Forces, "exemplary and typical".

Incorporating the comments, especially the direction of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Military Region, requires that on the basis of the direction, goals, and measures to organize the emulation movement for the period 2024-2029; agencies and units need to concretize them in practical conditions to determine the content, tasks, and appropriate emulation measures. Promote the role of the team of presiding cadres, the Economic and Training Council, and political agencies at all levels in building and operating action plans and programs. In the immediate future, promote the peak emulation "Proud of tradition, continuing achievements, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers", make achievements to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Military Region's Armed Forces Tradition Day, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Festival, proactively do a good job of preparing and organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In recognition of the contributions and honor of typical and advanced collectives in implementing the International Movement of the Military Region 3 over the past 5 years, Military Region 3 awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to 9 units.

Previously, on the afternoon of August 8, the Party Committee - Command of Military Region 3 organized an exchange and commended advanced models in the International Volunteer Movement of the Military Region's Armed Forces for the period 2019-2024 with the theme "Glory under the Victory Flag". Here, Military Region 3 awarded Certificates of Merit to 51 collectives and 38 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the International Volunteer Movement of the Military Region's Armed Forces for the period 2019-2024.
