On the afternoon of September 17, Major General Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, and his delegation had a working session with the People's Committee of An Giang province on the management and use of defense land in An Giang province. At the working session, the two sides exchanged and discussed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the management and use of defense land managed by Military Region 9 and its affiliated units in An Giang province.

The content focuses on land management, exploitation and use in accordance with legal regulations; considers issues related to licensing, granting of exploitation certificates, handing over land for production and business, compensation and clearance when implementing defense projects and works.

The working group of Military Region 9 recommended that the People's Committee of An Giang province strengthen coordination in the management of national defense land, especially in areas serving combined defense- economic purposes, in order to effectively exploit land use value, contributing to local socio-economic development.

Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc requested relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with Military Region 9, grasp the situation of land management and use; promptly advise on appropriate plans, ensuring both legal requirements and paying attention to the rights and welfare of the people, so that Military Region 9 can effectively and on schedule deploy national defense projects in the area.
