Strictly manage boarding and semi-boarding students in localities affected by storm No. 10

Localities in the eye of storm No. 10 need to promptly direct educational institutions with boarding and semi-boarding students to closely manage students. The movement of students must be coordinated between schools and families according to the plan and direction of local authorities, ensuring absolute safety.

On September 29, the Minister of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 1650/CD-BGDDT to the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training of provinces and cities from Quang Ngai and above on proactively responding to storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

The telegram stated: Storm No. 10 has entered the East Sea and is moving very fast (nearly twice the average speed), with strong storm intensity and a wide range of influence, which can cause a combination of many types of natural disasters such as strong winds, heavy rains, flash floods, landslides and coastal flooding. The situation of storms overlapping storms is a very rare weather phenomenon, with very complex developments, causing many difficulties in the work of preventing, combating and responding to natural disasters.

To proactively respond to storms and rains, minimize damage to people and property in the education sector, the Minister of Education and Training requests Directors of Departments of Education and Training of provinces and cities from Quang Ngai and above to strictly implement the following contents:

Firstly, strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 173/CD-TTg dated September 26, 2025 of the Prime Minister; Official Dispatch No. 1595/CD-BGDDT dated September 22, 2025 and Official Dispatch No. 1638/CD-BGDDT dated September 25, 2025 of the Minister of Education and Training.

Second, localities in the storm's eye must promptly direct educational institutions with boarding and semi-boarding students to closely manage students. The movement of students must be closely coordinated between schools and families according to the plan and direction of local authorities, ensuring absolute safety. At the same time, prepare enough drinking water, food, and provisions to ensure the living needs of students staying at school during the storm.

Third, urgently move assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, files, and documents to higher floors to avoid damage due to flooding, especially at remote schools in remote areas.

Fourth, continuously update information, summarize damages, report to the Provincial People's Committee for remediation, and report to the Ministry of Education and Training.
