On September 27, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training issued an official dispatch requesting that students from kindergarten to high school be off school on September 29 (Monday) to ensure safety when storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi) makes landfall.

The document also requires educational institutions to seriously implement the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry, closely monitor the storm's developments, proactively prepare response plans, absolutely not be negligent, ensure the safety of students and teachers and minimize damage.

The Department of Education and Training also requested to review and consolidate school facilities, especially in remote areas, areas at risk of landslides and flooding; move assets, equipment, and records to safe places. Schools are ready to serve as storm shelters for people, and quickly overcome the consequences and clean up schools after the storm to ensure a safe and clean environment...

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city also sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones; schools and centers under the department; vocational training institutions and universities, private colleges requesting proactive response to storm No. 10.

Accordingly, the Department requested heads of units and schools to seriously implement the directions of the City People's Committee, departments and localities on natural disaster prevention.

Schools must check and ensure property safety, brace structures, trim trees, check electrical systems, roofs, fences, etc. to limit risks caused by heavy rain and strong winds.

In particular, for low-lying areas prone to flooding, landslides, and unsafe bridges, schools need to have warning signs, plans to relocate assets, and ensure safety for students, especially preschool, primary, and secondary schools.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city also requires 24/7 duty, regular updates on storm developments, and timely reporting when incidents occur.

Chairmen of People's Committees of wards, communes, special zones and heads of schools and centers shall decide to let students take a day off on September 29 and the following days (if necessary) based on the actual situation.

Vocational training institutions, universities, and private schools are proactive in deciding whether to let students take time off.

After the storm, units urgently cleaned schools, brought students back to normal study, and reported the damage to the department before 8:00 a.m. on September 29.
