Quang Nam receives and trains Vietnamese language for 64 Lao students

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued Decision No. 2845/QD-UBND dated November 28, 2024 on receiving and training Vietnamese language for 64 international students from Se Kong and Champasak provinces, Lao PDR.

The Decision stated, received and organized Vietnamese language training for 64 international students from Se Kong and Champasak provinces, Lao PDR (including 56 cases receiving 100% full scholarships and 08 cases of self-funding) at Quang Nam University from November 7, 2024 to September 7, 2025.

Over the years, Quang Nam province has maintained and developed cooperative relations with Lao localities, especially with Sekong and Champasak provinces, which have been constantly developing, becoming increasingly deeper and more substantial. The parties have cooperated comprehensively in all aspects, focusing on many areas, especially education and training, which is considered a key task in the friendly cooperative relationship.

Since 2007, Quang Nam province has granted scholarships for training, fostering, and coaching to more than 1,500 cadres and students of Sekong and Champasak provinces. Of these, scholarships for Vietnamese language training have been granted to more than 800 international students. Many international students have returned to work in the country and have matured, and have been assigned by the Party and State to hold important positions in the locality.

Supporting human resource training for Lao provinces is an important achievement in the educational and training cooperation between the parties, contributing to strengthening and promoting the close cooperation in all fields between Quang Nam province and Lao localities in particular, as well as between Vietnam and Laos in general.
