Quang Nam and Hoi An awarded "Oscar of tourism industry"

On the evening of September 3, in the capital Manila, Philippines, the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania in 2024 took place with the participation of hundreds of continental-scale tourism and travel brands and international press agencies.

Representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received the prestigious award on the evening of September 3.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) of Quang Nam province was honored to be named in the category "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency 2024".

This year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam is the only representative of Vietnam to be nominated and surpassed many excellent candidates in the region such as Bali (Indonesia), Sabah (Malaysia), Sarawak (Malaysia) and Luang Prabang (Laos) to win the title of "Asia's Leading Local Tourism Management Agency".

In the destination category, Hoi An - Quang Nam was honored to receive the title "Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination" for the 5th time at the World Travel Awards (WTA), including 4 consecutive years of winning the award (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024).

In the category for resorts and hotels, a 5-star resort in Quang Nam - Hoiana Resort & Golf was also honored as the winner of the category "Asia's Leading Integrated Resort".

The World Travel Awards (WTA) was established in 1993 and is a prestigious award recognized worldwide and is considered the "Oscar of the tourism industry".
