Starting this morning, October 26, Quang Ngai province has issued an order prohibiting boats from going out to sea; postponing unnecessary meetings; completing the call for boats to take shelter... to prevent, avoid and fight against storm number 6 - storm Tra Mi.

On the morning of October 26, according to Dan Viet reporter, Quang Ngai province continued to issue urgent notices, directing and assigning tasks to all levels, departments and branches to quickly deploy measures to prevent and combat storm No. 6 - storm Tra Mi.

In the urgent notice issued, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province directed that, starting this morning, October 26, all unnecessary meetings be postponed to focus on storm prevention.

From 10:00 a.m. on October 26, 2024, all vehicles, ships, and boats are prohibited from operating at sea (including passenger transport vehicles on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route and vice versa), until there is an official announcement of stable weather from the Quang Ngai Hydrometeorological Station.

Quang Ngai Border Guard, Department of Transport, authorities of coastal districts, towns and cities... closely monitor developments to inform and guide owners of vehicles operating at sea to know the location and direction of the storm... to take measures to prevent, avoid, escape, or not move into the storm's dangerous area. Complete the call for ships and boats before 10:00 a.m. on October 26, 2024.

Notify, guide and request owners of cages and rafts that are raising aquatic products at sea and along the coast to urgently move to safe anchorages... and complete anchoring and arranging ships, boats, and cages at the anchorage area before 5:00 p.m. on October 26, 2024.

The Provincial Border Guard Command synthesizes and reports the results of the situation of calling for, anchoring, and taking shelter from storms for ships and vehicles at sea; and reports to the Provincial People's Committee before 6:00 p.m. on October 26, 2024.

Ly Son and Binh Son districts and Quang Ngai city directed coastal communes to review, inspect and mobilize forces and means to reinforce and brace constructions, offices, and factories; trim tree branches to ensure safety; guide and support people to reinforce and brace houses, giving priority to supporting families with elderly people living alone, disabled people... to be completed before 6:00 p.m., October 26, 2024.
