On the morning of September 25, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province coordinated with relevant units to organize a conference to announce the project to pilot the exploitation of trekking tourism products in Pa Thien - Voi Mep and launch the pilot support team.

Voi Mep Peak , also known as Ta Linh Son, has an altitude of over 1,800 m above sea level, is the highest mountain in Quang Tri . This area possesses a diverse primeval forest ecosystem, majestic landscape, rich potential for developing ecotourism and adventure tourism.
After completing procedures, documents and surveying the itinerary, the Nam Quang Tri Special Use Forest Management Board and Samuer Company Limited have completed the project to pilot this tourism product.
Voi Mep Peak is over 1,800 m above sea level, this is the highest mountain peak in Quang Tri province.

Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong, Director of Samuer Company Limited, said that besides creating a tourism product for tourists to experience and explore nature, contributing to promoting the image of tourism in Southern Quang Tri, it also creates more livelihoods for local people.

The product will have 2 experience programs, bringing many options for tourists.

According to the project, the Pa Thien - Voi Mep trekking eco-tourism product has 2 tour programs: 2 days 1 night tour with a route of 6.5 km (from the forest gate to the new rock beach, Pa Thien peak, Voi Mep); and 3 days 2 nights tour with a route of 8.8 km (from the forest gate to Voi Mep peak).
Both tours depart from Huong Phung commune, passing through 3 sub-areas of Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve . Each tour is limited to no more than 25 guests, no more than 2 groups per day to ensure safety and the best experience.

At the conference, Samuer Co., Ltd. also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the tourism product testing support team. About 20 young Van Kieu people will participate in supporting and guiding tourist groups on their journey to conquer Voi Mep peak. This is considered a solution to both create a livelihood for the Van Kieu people and contribute to promoting the unique cultural identity of the mountainous region in the Southwest of Quang Tri.
