Quynh Nhu is fresh and sophisticated.

No one in her family was an artist, but Quynh Nhu had always shown a talent for music since she was little. Interested in the small instrument, the girl born in 1995 asked her mother to let her learn the violin.

Violinist Quynh Nhu's works that have stood the test of time are performed with sophistication in the album "Viollage"

In the early 2000s, Quang Ninh did not have any schools that taught this instrument. To please her daughter, Quynh Nhu's mother researched and took her daughter to the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music). Here, the 8-year-old girl was accepted and studied violin under the guidance of teacher Vo Van Ha.

In 2023, in Paris, Quynh Nhu had time to study a masterclass (advanced course) with the guidance of Professor Smailovic-Huart. Throughout the long journey, Quynh Nhu has always cherished the idea of ​​​​doing a personal project with her first solo violin album, titled "Viollage".

"Viollage" is a compound word, a play on words between "Violin" and "Village". Because the village where Quynh Nhu was born and raised is the main theme of this album.

Quynh Nhu wants to use music to show gratitude to her homeland.

The album includes 9 compositions by musicians Van Cao, Pham Duy, Ho Bac, Tran Tien, etc. These are all familiar songs to audiences of many generations, arranged for violin and performed by Quynh Nhu with sophistication, romance and full of freshness.

What is special is that there are 3 famous "My Village" songs appearing together, which Quynh Nhu placed right at the top. Including all 3 "My Village" songs (Van Cao, Ho Bac, Chung Quan) shows the author's clear intention, not only expressing admiration for the talent of 3 veteran musicians of Vietnamese music, but also her gratitude to the beloved homelands on the S-shaped strip of land.

The album also has other great works such as "April Returns" (Duong Thu), "Old Fragrance" (Cung Tien), "Sadness" (Pham Duy), "Em Van Nhu Ngay Xua" (Tran Tien), "Mo" (Doan Hoai Nam), "Xu Doai" (Tran Tuan Anh). Quynh Nhu breathes life into these works through the soaring, romantic sounds of the guitar, full of love for the homeland.
