This was Ronaldo's fourth consecutive club game in which he has scored. He has now scored eight goals in five appearances, taking him to the top of the Saudi Pro League scoring charts. For Al Nassr, the result has seen them move up to fifth with 12 points from six games. They have had a shaky start to the season with two defeats, but Ronaldo and his team-mates may have found a winning formula.

The scoreline may not have been a complete reflection of the action on the pitch. In fact, Al Raed played with great effort and were on par with Al Nassr, especially in the first half. With speedy players on the wings, the home side constantly troubled Al Nassr's defense, which was made more solid by the presence of former Man City center-back Aymeric Laporte.
