Ready for the 3-bang test

Below the firing command post, under the guidance of Lieutenant Cao Mau Quynh Dang, Platoon Leader of Platoon 4 (Company 1), the soldiers performed 3 shooting positions with an AK submachine gun under the actual testing conditions. Not far away, on the grenade throwing and explosives training ground, the new squads of soldiers of Company 1 were also actively practicing. Every 45 minutes, the platoons took a short break, learned from experience, rehearsed and quickly moved their formations, rotating to change exercises.

The unit is quite far from the training ground. In the final stage of preparing for the "3-explosion" test, to ensure training time, the troops are trained close to the test conditions, the unit has to march from dawn. At noon, officers and soldiers eat and rest right at the training ground.

Through hard training, the soldiers have all matured and progressed. Up to now, after nearly 3 months of "overcoming the sun and rain", the new soldiers of the unit have mastered the basic knowledge of military, politics , logistics, and technology, and are ready to enter the final test of new soldier training.

Upon learning, it is known that the unit has selected soldiers with a steady mentality, confidence, leadership, and the best movements, who have achieved excellent results in live ammunition shooting, such as: Nguyen Quoc Huy, Tran Nguyen Hoai Huong, Cao Thanh Hue, Cao Diet... to test the first round of shooting to create trust, encourage the whole unit to compete enthusiastically, and be determined to win excellent shooting awards.

For some soldiers whose test results were not consistent and solid, the unit focused on training and further practice, so they also made clear progress. For example, Private Nguyen Thanh Long in Squad 14, who had not thrown grenades far before and often went off course, was directly tutored, guided, and tutored by the Squad Leader after hours. Long himself also tried hard to practice, so he made remarkable progress, making his teammates admire him. Private Nguyen Thanh Long expressed his determination: "Getting a good grade on the "3-explosion" test is my biggest goal in the training phase of new soldiers."

Major Nguyen Dang Hanh, Battalion Commander of Battalion 460, said: "Implementing the training motto "Basic, practical, solid", the Battalion requires that during the training process, cadres from squad level and above must closely guide, accompany, and organize for soldiers to study, practice, master basic knowledge and movements, promptly correct and correct mistakes, and at the same time regularly train the soldiers' mettle, mentality, speech, style, and physical strength. The classification and assessment of each soldier's level and ability are carried out impartially, closely, and scientifically, so that there are separate training methods for weak comrades. The unit strictly maintains compensatory training and refresher training for comrades who are sick or hospitalized. Cadres are often close to, encourage, and care to ensure a good material and spiritual life for soldiers. Thanks to that, the unit maintains solidarity and unity, and soldiers actively strive to compete to complete their tasks well."
