Implementing Plan No. 74/KH-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee on Developing Mechanization in Agricultural Production for the 2022 - 2025 Period; continuing to promote Resolution No. 08/2023/NQ-HDND of the Hanoi People's Council, Spring crop 2025, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Xuyen district to organize the Contest "Tray seedling production facility and good rice transplanter operator in Hanoi in 2025".
The competition is scheduled to be held on February 18, 2025, in Nam Phong commune, Phu Xuyen district, with the participation of 12 teams from 10 districts, including: Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa, Thuong Tin, Thach That, Me Linh, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Quoc Oai, Phuc Tho and Ba Vi. Accordingly, each team has 5 members, going through 3 rounds.
Seedling tray production competition: The organizing committee provides seeds, seedling trays and substrate for the teams to carry out the seedling tray production process according to technical standards. The jury will organize the scoring according to the regulations issued by the organizing committee. Each team will sow 84 trays for the competition.
Field transplanter competition: Teams will compete in transplanting using a 6-row transplanter on an area of 2,520 m2 (equivalent to 7 Northern sao) arranged by the Organizing Committee.
Introduction contest at the hall: Teams introduce themselves with full information about the team (address, team name, names of team members); purpose, meaning and slogan showing determination when participating in the contest.
The contest is an opportunity for farmers and cooperatives to exchange and learn experiences in effective rice cultivation by machine, thereby promoting the application of mechanization in agricultural production.
Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Manh Phuong said that previously, Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Phu Xuyen district successfully organized the contest "Excellent rice transplanter operator for the 2024 Summer-Autumn crop" with strong imprints of science and technology applied in agricultural production.
This is also one of the ways to strongly propagate the policies of the Central and City into production practice, contributing to changing the production mindset of farmers; forming concentrated rice production areas and large-scale fields. From there, creating conditions to attract businesses to join production links, building agriculture in a modern, sustainable and integrated direction.
Hanoi aims to have concentrated agricultural production areas basically mechanized and synchronized mechanization by 2025. Specifically, mechanization in planting will be 15%, care will be 60%, harvesting will be 95%...
To achieve this goal, the City supports organizations, households and individuals with 100% of management fees when purchasing machinery and mechanical equipment for agricultural production through loan contracts of the City Agricultural Promotion Fund, 100% of interest according to the loan contract, maximum loan term is 3 years.
