Hanoi pilots mechanized garbage collection vehicles in narrow alleys

According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, about 70% of the waste generated each day in the capital comes from residential areas in narrow alleys.

Previously, sanitation workers had to use manual garbage trucks, pushing the garbage from alleys to the collection point on the main road.

Manual garbage collection vehicles are full of garbage, not only unsightly but also inefficient.

Faced with this reality, Hanoi is piloting mechanized garbage collection vehicles in narrow alleys in some areas./.
