Recently, at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Hanoi Department of Tourism held a press conference on the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2024, one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day and stimulate tourism in the last months of the year.

Accordingly, the Ao Dai Festival will take place from October 4-6 at the Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center - Hanoi. The opening ceremony will take place on October 4 at the Doan Mon Square Stage, Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center - Hanoi with the highlight being the art program "Quintessence of Ao Dai".

At the Opening Ceremony, ao dai collections by designers from all over the country such as Do Trinh Hoai Nam, Duc Hung, Quang Hoa, Cao Minh Tien, Miss Ngoc Han, Thuy Nguyen, La Hang, Vu Thao Giang, Luu Quynh Lan... and ao dai brands such as OZ Design House will be displayed and introduced to the public.

This activity aims to convey the message of Vietnam tourism in general and Hanoi tourism in particular, gradually turning the image of the Ao Dai from a "cultural ambassador" into a "tourism ambassador" - a typical tourism product of Hanoi.

During the 2024 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival, at the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, about 80 booths will be arranged to promote, display and introduce Ao Dai products and accessories from famous designers and Ao Dai brands from the three regions of the North - Central - South.

The Ao Dai Carnival takes place on October 5 and parades along the route from Doan Mon Square, Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center - Hanoi - Hoang Dieu - Hoang Van Thu - Doc Lap - Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

In addition, within the framework of the program, there are also activities: Ao Dai performance by designers and the final round of the Ao Dai design contest; exhibition, display of Ao Dai by designers, Ao Dai brands; tourism products, services, traditional craft villages; demonstration of creating works by artisans; space to enjoy Hanoi cuisine "Thang Long Ngu Vi"...

At the press conference, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Hong Minh said that the 2024 Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival aims to develop and promote tourism in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. At the same time, exploit and honor the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people to become a unique and attractive tourism product of Hanoi city. As well as creating opportunities for tourism businesses in the capital to promote and cooperate with artisans and Ao Dai fashion designers to build a unique tour.

The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism emphasized, “The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival is an activity to promote the image of the capital's tourism as a "Safe - friendly - quality - attractive destination", attracting people, domestic tourists and international friends, gradually positioning it as an annual activity of the capital's tourism".

The 2024 Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival is one of a series of practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
