Merging 1 faculty into a member school of Ho Chi Minh City National University

Today (October 30), according to information from Ho Chi Minh City National University, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of this University has agreed to reorganize the Faculty of Politics and Administration by merging the Faculty into the University of Economics and Law. The Standing Committee assigned the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City National University to establish a working group to develop a project on the merger. The above policy was approved at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee in mid-September.

Ho Chi Minh City National University is carrying out the merger process, including seeking the opinion of the Ho Chi Minh City National University Council.

According to Ho Chi Minh City National University, when merging, students’ rights will still be guaranteed as committed. Training time, curriculum and tuition fees for students who have been admitted to the previous course will not be affected. The rights of learners and teachers will be guaranteed at the same or better level.

The Faculty of Politics and Administration is a unit under the Ho Chi Minh City National University, established under Decision No. 212 dated March 12, 2019 of the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University on the basis of upgrading the Center for Political Theory. The faculty has legal status, its own seal and account. On September 29, the faculty held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2023-2024 with 53 new students admitted to the public administration major. This is the third training course with a benchmark score of 20 (an increase of 3 points compared to the previous two courses).

Thus, after 3 enrollment courses, the Faculty of Politics and Administration has a policy of merging into another member school of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
