Sharing and connecting the hearts of people across the country to our compatriots in flood-affected areas

On the afternoon of October 22, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) received support from the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in the amount of nearly 380 million VND sent to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to send to people affected by natural disasters and floods.

Presenting the donation to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Vu Viet Trang, Party Secretary and General Director of VNA, said: Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in areas affected by storms, VNA has launched a widespread fundraising movement throughout the industry. This is the first year VNA has launched a campaign to support people affected by natural disasters and floods without a Trade Union organization, so through the agency's Office, the collective of staff, reporters, editors and workers of VNA, with the spirit of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", have enthusiastically responded, with the desire to promptly support and assist people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. In addition to the funding sent to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, VNA also supports and encourages families of reporters, editors and workers of the industry who were heavily affected by floods.

The team of VNA editors and reporters in the localities, although their families were also heavily affected by natural disasters and floods, still performed their assigned tasks well, providing "hot" information, reflecting the devastating consequences, difficulties and losses of the people, as well as the efforts of Party committees and authorities at all levels in rescue and relief work, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. That demonstrates the sense of responsibility towards the Party, the State and the people of the team of reporters, editors, technicians and employees of VNA in transmitting information, contributing to effectively performing the function of providing official news sources and key news streams - VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang affirmed.

Receiving the donation, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Vice President Ha Thi Nga expressed her sympathy for the officials, reporters, editors, and employees of VNA who suffered losses in natural disasters, storms, and floods, as well as the difficulties and dangers of VNA reporters who had to work in difficult and dangerous conditions; and at the same time thanked VNA for its noble gesture to the people affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

This is a practical and timely resource demonstrating the spirit of "Mutual love and support" when our compatriots are in difficulty and distress.

According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga, right after organizing the launching ceremony to support people affected by storms and floods, in recent days the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has received the attention of the whole society, the participation of many organizations and individuals, creating a positive ripple effect. In addition to receiving support, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has promptly organized support activities from the very first days, allocating more than 200 billion VND to 17 provinces and cities affected by storm No. 10.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front has always received the trust of the community and the attention of all people in society. The touching image of an old woman over 90 years old asking her children and grandchildren to take her to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to personally hand over the donation money has shown the honor and responsibility of the Front, which is the place to connect the hearts and sharing of the people of the whole country with the people in the disaster-stricken areas.

The donated funds will be allocated publicly and transparently by the Central Relief Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promptly delivered to the beneficiaries, quickly supporting people to overcome damage after storms and floods - Ms. Ha Thi Nga pledged.

Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga also sincerely thanked VNA for accompanying the activities of the Fatherland Front in general and the work of supporting people affected by natural disasters and floods in particular; and hoped to continue to receive the companionship and support of VNA in the coming time to continue to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

On the same day, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy received support from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in the amount of VND 1 billion. Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received support from SHINHAN Vietnam Limited Liability Bank VND 200 million; CEO Group VND 500 million; Katinat Cafe Joint Stock Company VND 1 billion; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited - Hanoi Branch VND 100 million; Vietnam Private Entrepreneurs Association VND 11 million; Vietnamese Community in Belarus VND 110.118 million; Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company VND 300 million.
