The delegation included representatives of leaders and commanders of a number of agencies and units under the General Department of Defense Industry. According to reports from the units and shared by local authorities, natural disasters have seriously affected people's lives, infrastructure, schools, and directly impacted thousands of cadres, workers, and employees of the units. Understanding the difficulties and losses, the Standing Party Committee and the Head of the General Department of Defense Industry organized a delegation to visit, give gifts, and support cadres, workers, employees, policy beneficiaries, and people in Thai Nguyen province.

Lieutenant General Dinh Quoc Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry, spoke at the program.

Specifically, the delegation visited, encouraged and presented 342 gifts with a total value of 684 million VND from the Fund for the Poor of the General Department of Defense Industry to officers, employees and workers of factories: Z115, Z127, Z131, Warehouse K602; presented 5 gifts with a total value of 100 million VND from the Gratitude Fund of the General Department of Defense Industry to support policy families of Factory Z115, Factory Z127 and Warehouse K602.

Also during the program, the delegation visited and encouraged students at schools that suffered heavy damage in the province. Here, the delegation presented 100 bicycles worth 300 million VND to students of Hoa Thuong Secondary School; presented 1,000 backpacks worth 140 million VND to students of Hoa Thuong Secondary School; presented many teaching equipment such as televisions, computers, projectors worth 180 million VND to Quang Vinh Kindergarten.

Speaking at the program, Lieutenant General Dinh Quoc Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry, praised the spirit of effort, responsibility, and proactiveness in overcoming difficulties of the leaders, commanders, and workers of the units. At the same time, he sincerely thanked the Party Committees, authorities, and people of the localities for always caring, sharing, coordinating, and helping the units of the General Department in the work of preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of recent natural disasters.
