Many practical and meaningful shock activities

In mid-June, the Youth Union of Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy organized the "Green Summer" volunteer campaign at Ta Lang school, Hai Van ward, new Danang city.

The school organized 6 health care topics for students (dental care, school dentistry, clean hands - beautiful hands, drowning prevention, national flag road, cooking for children) with special focus on oral health.

Tran Thi Ky Duyen (student of the Faculty of Medical Testing) shared: "The program not only brings joy and useful knowledge to the children but is also an opportunity for the volunteers to learn how to love, share and live more positively."

Similarly, Tran Dai Gia (a student of the Faculty of Nursing) said: “The program helps me learn many practical skills and deeply feel the value of contributing to the community. I am especially impressed with the spirit of solidarity, the enthusiasm of the members and the joy evident on the faces of the children when they are cared for and guided. This is a memorable memory, creating more motivation for me to continue spreading good values in my youth journey.”

Since the beginning of June, the University of Education (University of Danang) has organized a summer student volunteer campaign with 150 students participating in Hai Van ward, Hoa Khanh ward, and Hoi An ward.

The program includes many impressive activities such as: "Give wings to knowledge" for students in difficult circumstances, each student supports 1 grade 9 student to review knowledge online, lends students computers to serve their studies; meetings, exchanges, talks on topics between parents, students and school psychologists; builds children's bookcases; coordinates to open calligraphy classes, self-defense skills for students; supports funding to repair and demolish temporary, dilapidated houses for 3 households in especially difficult circumstances...

Mr. Hoang Le Phi Bach, Secretary of the Youth Union of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, said that this year's "Green Summer" campaign was carefully planned and prepared. Before that, the Youth Union had conducted many advance surveys to survey the route, check accommodation conditions, ensure connectivity and security during the campaign.

In addition, we focus on selecting volunteers with good health, pioneering spirit, teamwork skills and experience in participating in Youth Union - Association activities. In addition, you are also trained in soft skills, professional knowledge and situation handling plans to be ready to support local people in the most effective and safe way.

According to Nguyen Hoang Tinh Uyen, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Education, this year's summer student volunteer campaign not only promotes the spirit of volunteering for the community, but is also a valuable opportunity for students to practice their skills and become more mature in their journey to become future teachers.

The teams are systematically built, have clear orientation, and hope to help students improve their learning outcomes, inspire confidence and motivation to overcome difficulties, and move towards a bright future.

Arousing a sense of responsibility in young people

In Hai Chau ward, union members and youth actively carry out many practical activities to support people in digital transformation such as: directly instructing on the use of technology applications and online public services; promoting propaganda through zalo groups and fanpages on cybersecurity warnings, State policies and laws, merger information, announcements... to help people easily monitor and access quickly.

At the same time, residential areas organize exciting summer activities for children with many diverse and attractive activities such as: cultural exchanges, folk games, soft skills training, legal propaganda...

Also at this time, the City Youth Union (City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee) organized a visit, encouraged and presented a "Learning Corner" to Nguyen Vo Huy Hoang, a student at Hoa Son Primary School No. 2, Hoa Khanh Ward (New Da Nang).

Hoang has a particularly difficult situation, his father passed away early, his mother works as a factory worker with an unstable income to raise two children. Understanding his situation, the Youth Union gave him a set of study desks and chairs, a study lamp, books and necessary tools to create favorable conditions for him to have a better study space, giving him more motivation to go to school.

Mr. Vo Lac (Hoang's grandfather) emotionally shared: "Before, my child did not have his own desk, he often had to study on the bed or borrow a desk from an adult. Now that the youth union is taking care of him, my family is very happy and grateful for this meaningful support."

According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Secretary of the City Youth Union Le Cong Hung, the summer youth volunteer campaign is not only an environment for young people to contribute but also a "big school" for each union member and young person to practice, mature and develop comprehensively.

Through each campaign season, union members and young people not only bring their youth, knowledge and enthusiasm to difficult areas, but also contribute to connecting joy, lighting up hope and awakening beautiful aspirations in the community.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to focus on strengthening the Youth Union organization from the grassroots level, while maintaining and developing safe and useful summer playgrounds for children and teenagers, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted activities.

In addition, review and grasp the locality to deploy volunteer activities associated with the local situation and reality; spread the spirit of sharing, build practical and creative movements and accompany disadvantaged youth and youth in special circumstances; promote popular digital education activities among youth and people.

In addition, organizing volunteer activities, supporting children and people in difficult circumstances, contributing to creating a meaningful lifestyle, arousing a sense of responsibility among young people, thereby building Da Nang city to become more and more developed, civilized and livable.
