Speaking to a VNA reporter over the phone, Mr. Luu Quoc Bao said: "Currently, workers are working on underground power projects in the city, so they have to deal with dirt and sand, making it difficult to keep clean." After that, Mr. Bao asked the reporter to come to the Buon Ma Thuot Construction Investment Project Management Board to discuss in detail on the afternoon of October 6. However, when the reporter arrived, Mr. Bao said he was busy with an unexpected meeting and the deputy director in charge of this field was also busy with a meeting and could not receive the reporter. The reporter scheduled a follow-up meeting, but the Management Board has not yet given a specific appointment.
At the construction site of the Project to Upgrade the Sidewalk and Technical Infrastructure of Truong Chinh Street and the sections connecting to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street on October 6, the construction unit only mobilized a few workers to build at a few manhole locations on the sidewalk. The previously dug holes were still roughly fenced with wooden stakes. Each manhole was covered with makeshift solar panels, which did not ensure safety. At many locations, plastic pipes used to run electrical wires were scattered on the road surface, making it extremely messy. The dug up dirt and sand had not been collected and cleaned up, spreading all over the sidewalk, causing loss of urban beauty.

VNA reporters also registered to work with the leaders of Buon Ma Thuot Ward People's Committee on the shortcomings in the Project to Upgrade the Sidewalk and Technical Infrastructure of Truong Chinh Street and the sections connecting to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and the Project to build an underground transmission line on the sidewalk of a street such as Phan Boi Chau and Le Thanh Tong (which was previously reported in an article) to learn about the contents related to the licensing of sidewalk excavation for the construction of these projects. However, up to now, the leaders of Buon Ma Thuot Ward People's Committee have not yet responded.
The project to upgrade the sidewalks and technical infrastructure of Truong Chinh Street and the sections connecting to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street is invested by the Buon Ma Thuot Construction Investment Project Management Board. The construction unit is Phu Tien Trung Joint Venture (including: Phu Quan Construction Company Limited, Dai Tien Company Limited, AHA Construction Company Limited, Dinh Trung Company Limited). The project started on June 9, 2025 and is scheduled to be completed on March 6, 2026. This project includes construction items such as: sidewalks; tree planting pits; drainage system, electricity, lighting, traffic safety... The goal of the project is to create a clean and beautiful sidewalk for Truong Chinh Street - a street with many state agencies and businesses and heavy traffic.

Previously, VNA also published an article reflecting on the project to build an underground transmission line on the sidewalk of a road such as Phan Boi Chau, Le Thanh Tong (Buon Ma Thuot ward) without ensuring regulations on technical infrastructure, traffic safety, urban aesthetics, affecting people's lives. After the reflection, the construction units have ensured safety, urban aesthetics, and environmental sanitation on the project.
