Storm No. 10 caused landslides, collapsed walls, and damaged roofs of households in Suoi Chat and Suoi Thinh villages, Gia Phu commune, Son La province, and 8 households in areas at high risk of landslides.
In the commune, there were 2 points on the inter-village road with landslides of about 30m³ of earth and rock, many irrigation works in Nhot 1, Nhot 2, and Tao villages were severely damaged; about 35 hectares of winter-spring rice were flooded, with damage from 30-70% and at risk of total loss.

Along with mobilizing forces to visit, encourage and support families to move their assets and people to safety, Gia Phu commune mobilized forces to help households harvest rice affected by storm No. 10.
From October 3-5, Gia Phu commune mobilized nearly 1,000 people from the police force, youth, villagers and commune and village officials to help households in 16 villages whose rice fields were affected by floods.

After helping households harvest rice, the forces also helped people transport agricultural products to dry places and clean the fields to prepare for the next crop.

The images of communal and village officials in green volunteer shirts and police forces helping people harvest rice in flooded fields have spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing with people in flooded areas, contributing to helping people quickly stabilize their lives and restore production after the storm.
