According to Insider Gaming 's leaked sources, the Star Wars Eclipse game developed by Quantic Dream is currently aiming for a planned release date of 2026.
The news comes from the same leaker who accurately revealed NetEase's plans to acquire Quantic Dream, about six months before the deal was officially announced.
Star Wars Eclipse Could Be Released in 2026
The source once again reiterated Quantic Dream’s recruitment efforts following allegations of a negative work environment including sexual harassment, bullying, and a toxic work culture. In fact, the whistleblower who brought these dark sides to light is still in a legal battle with Quantic Dream.
The 2026 release date is a reflection of Quantic Dream's development and staffing shortages, and Star Wars Eclipse may be the farthest-out Star Wars game announced. To date, there have been six announced Star Wars games in development that have yet to be released.
At the same time, the source also said that everything is currently in a tentative state, so the game is still likely to be delayed further into 2026.
Star Wars Eclipse is described as "a new action-adventure game featuring a branching narrative with multiple characters, set in the High Republic era of the Star Wars galaxy and currently in early development".
