On February 25, Seattle federal judge Jamal Whitehead ruled to block President Donald Trump's executive order indefinitely suspending the refugee admission program into the US. On February 25, the Ecuadorian government declared a state of emergency in eight coastal provinces and the southern region affected by heavy rains and floods this rainy season. On February 26, Thai police announced a serious bus accident that killed 18 people and injured 31 others. According to initial information, the bus involved in the accident was one of three double-decker buses carrying local government officials on a field trip. While traveling on a steep road in Prachinburi province, east of the capital Bangkok, the bus's brakes failed, it went downhill and crashed into a ditch. Police said there were a total of 49 people on the bus, of which 17 died at the scene and one later died after being taken to the hospital.
