This is the sharing of Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang, Deputy Squadron Leader of Squadron 1, Regiment 925, Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force, one of more than 300 typical advanced collectives and individuals at the 11th Military Emulation Congress for Victory.

Referring to successful flight missions, Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang shared that behind the spectacular performances and soaring flights in the sky are countless sweat, effort and limits that must be overcome. When performing aerobatics in the air, military pilots must undergo hundreds of hours of rigorous training. Every time they perform a flight, just one mistake can cause unpredictable consequences.

To overcome all obstacles, Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang and his teammates turned challenges into opportunities, pressure into motivation, bravely faced difficulties and constantly studied and trained, so that each flight became a symbol of courage and determination to win.

The sharing of Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang not only shows the strength of physical strength and knowledge but also the strength of will that makes up the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Every victory from the air begins from the ground.

According to Captain Quang, from 2020 to now, he has accumulated more than 680 flight hours. Of which, the time he started to get acquainted with the Su-27 fighter jet has been more than 5 years. Captain Quang himself has participated in many important missions and has also achieved certain achievements, typically achieving excellent results in live-fire bombing in 2022, first prize in the theoretical navigation competition in 2023 and 2025, third prize in the Air Force navigation competition in 2023, 4 consecutive years from 2021 to 2024, receiving the title of Emulation Fighter along with many other awards.

With his efforts for many years, in 2024 - Captain Quang was awarded the title of Level 2 Pilot - an important milestone demonstrating his ability to master flying techniques, tactics and psychology.

Also in 2024, Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang was honored as the Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam and the Outstanding Young Face of the entire army in 2024. However, Captain Quang always modestly said: "The achievement is not mine alone. Every victory from the air originates from the ground - from teammates, technicians, commanders, and logistics. I am just a link in that collective."

As Deputy Squadron Leader and Chief of Staff of Squadron 1, Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang is the "tactical brain" and also the person responsible for training and coaching pilots, organizing flight operations, and ensuring level 2 combat readiness day and night. In the sky, he is the commander, teammate, and guardian of the space border. On the ground, he is the person who plans each flight, each take-off and landing time, each technical and weather condition, ensuring everything is accurate to every detail.

"You must not be subjective in the air. Only by practicing seriously and preparing thoroughly can you confidently handle any unexpected situation," Captain Quang always reminds himself and continuously practices every day.

Contribute all youth, ability and intelligence

According to Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai, an excellent soldier is not only someone who is good at specialized military knowledge but also must have good moral qualities, a spirit of dedication, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, not afraid of sacrifice, hardship, and not back down in the face of difficulties.

This is the first and most important quality. In addition, to complete tasks well, soldiers must have a progressive spirit, be eager to learn, always self-disciplined, study and learn continuously, always try to find their own shortcomings to overcome and improve themselves every day, so that today must be better than yesterday, always ready to receive and excellently complete assigned tasks.

Captain Quang affirmed that he will continue to study and practice to always have the safest and highest quality flights. Not only that, I also have to try to convey the experiences that I have accumulated after many missions and handling many different situations, so that the pilots in the unit can study, learn and apply them to real flights.

"I myself always wish to devote all my youth, ability and intelligence to the increasingly strong Army, firmly protecting the sacred skies, seas, borders and islands of the Fatherland," Captain Quang emphasized.
