First launched in 2017, the fifth-generation Lexus LS received a major upgrade in 2020 and continued to receive additional technology and safety in 2023. In the 2026 update, the Japanese luxury car brand added two new standard exterior paint colors. Specifically, the Lexus LS will have two colors: White Nova Glass Flake and Deep Blue Mica for all versions. The F Sport version has an additional option of red brake calipers with a silver Lexus logo, giving it a sportier look.
The Matrix LED headlights on the new generation Lexus LS luxury sedan are also sharper with a unique dual L-shaped and symmetrical pattern. At the rear, the Lexus LS 2026 also features a new taillight design that is becoming a trend. In addition, the taillight graphics are also designed in a more modern L-shaped style. The 2026 Lexus LS's interior remains the same with a 12.3-inch digital display and a 12.3-inch center display, but all trims now come standard with heated front and rear seats.
In terms of performance, the Lexus LS in the Japanese market will continue to have two engine options. The LS500 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine, producing 415 horsepower. Meanwhile, the LS500h is a self-charging hybrid configuration, combining a 3.5L V6 engine with two electric motors, for a total output of 354 horsepower. Both variants have the option of rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Prices in Japan start at 11.11 million yen (equivalent to 74,700 USD - nearly 2 billion VND) for the LS500 I Package, and go up to 17.73 million yen (about 119,200 USD) for the LS500h AWD Executive. Compared to the previous version, the price has increased slightly from 150,000 to 170,000 yen (1,000–1,150 USD).
While the LS continues to be maintained, its role is increasingly narrowing as Lexus positions the new ES as a “global flagship sedan”. Outside of Japan, the LS is still sold in North America and some European markets, but was discontinued in the UK earlier this year. Video : Lexus LS 500h review: more economical than B-class cars.
