Gia Lai: Training on applying construction information models in construction investment activities

(GLO)- On September 26, in Pleiku ward, the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province organized a training conference on applying building information modeling (BIM) in construction investment activities.

Attending the conference were nearly 200 delegates representing leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors; leaders and professional civil servants of 77 communes and wards in the western region of the province; Construction Association, Architectural Association; representatives of a number of enterprises who are investors and construction enterprises in the province.

At the conference, delegates listened to experts introduce basic information and knowledge about BIM; BIM implementation process; contents that need to be implemented when creating BIM tasks, planning BIM implementation...

Through that, state management agencies, investors, organizations and individuals have more basis to research and promote BIM application in construction projects.

According to information at the conference, applying BIM brings many practical benefits such as: improving design quality, shortening progress, saving costs, and effectively supporting state management.
