On September 26, within the framework of the First World Nuclear Week in Moscow, a discussion session on personnel training for the nuclear industry through a network between universities and businesses was held.
The discussion session was attended by representatives of Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Tunisia, as well as representatives of leading Russian universities and the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom.
Vietnam's representative, Dr. Tran Chi Thanh - Director of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute - attended and shared his opinions.
At the discussion session, Ms. Tatyana Terentyeva - Deputy General Director in charge of human resources of Rosatom Corporation emphasized the mission of providing clean energy to the world, with about 30 large nuclear power plants being built in Russia and around the world.
According to Tatyana, these ambitious goals cannot be achieved without training highly qualified human resources. To achieve this, Rosatom has created an innovation ecosystem that seamlessly supports future employees through all levels of education and into Rosatom enterprises.
Over the past 15 years, the corporation has become a leader in professional development and training of highly qualified specialists. Tatyana affirmed that Rosatom is ready to share its experience and best practices with international partners.
Vladimir Shevchenko, Rector of the Russian National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, said that in order to successfully address the challenges of the modern nuclear industry, it is important to continue developing integration processes between universities and industry, supporting international cooperation and ensuring high-quality educational resources.
Vietnam's representative, Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, shared about scientific and technical cooperation between the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute and Russian research institutes, enterprises and universities.
According to Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, partnerships with Russian universities create a platform for exchanging experiences, maintaining high professional training standards and ensuring succession for generations of scientists and engineers.
Every summer, groups of Vietnamese students do internships at a Russian nuclear power plant, thereby consolidating their knowledge through real technological processes.
At the discussion session, many opinions also mentioned the special importance of the youth community for the development of the nuclear industry, emphasizing that student activities are an important tool to promote careers and attract young talent to this special technology industry./.
