Temporarily suspend the operation of some types of trucks to serve the High School Graduation Exam

DNO - The Department of Transport has announced the temporary suspension of operations for trucks pulling trailers, semi-trailers, dump trucks, and trucks carrying wood chips with a cargo weight of over 10 tons.

Accordingly, Director of the Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung said that the unit has issued a notice on the plan to temporarily suspend the operation of a number of trucks during the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in Da Nang city.

Specifically, to prevent and avoid risks of traffic accidents during the time teachers and students go to the exam sites of the high school graduation exam, the Department of Transport temporarily suspends the operation of cars pulling trailers, semi-trailers, dump trucks (dump trucks), trucks carrying wood chips with a cargo volume of over 10 tons during the exam days.

The suspension area includes all routes in Da Nang city, except for the following routes: Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel, La Son - Tuy Loan, Hai Van pass road, Ta Quang Buu, Nguyen Van Cu (section from Ta Quang Buu street to Hai Van pass), National Highway 14B (section from the border of Quang Nam province to Hoa Cam overpass), Hoa Cam overpass, National Highway 1A (section from Hoa Cam overpass to the border of Quang Nam province), Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway.

The suspension period is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 26. As for June 27 and 28, the above vehicles will be suspended during the following time frames: from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Department of Transport has sent a notice of the plan to temporarily suspend the operation of the above types of vehicles to the Danang Road Freight Transport Association, Danang Automobile Transport Association, Danang Port, Management Board of High-Tech Park and Danang Industrial Parks to inform transport businesses to know and implement.

At the same time, during the exam period, the City Department of Transport Inspectorate will coordinate with the Traffic Police to organize inspections and regulate traffic on the roads, creating conditions for teachers and students to arrive at the exam site safely and on time.

The Department of Transport also requested the City Police to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of districts and relevant units to deploy a plan to ensure traffic safety during the exam.

Units increased forces on duty, provided guidance on ensuring traffic safety, inspected and strictly handled violations, especially at examination sites on National Highway 1A (Phan Thanh Tai High School) and on National Highway 14B (Ong Ich Khiem High School).
