Strengthening dengue fever prevention

Since the beginning of July, Thang Dien commune has recorded 45 cases of dengue fever (including 28 old outbreak cases and 17 new outbreak cases in Truong An village and An Thanh 2 village).

Faced with changing weather conditions, erratic rain and sunshine are favorable conditions for mosquitoes and larvae to develop, with the risk of a sharp increase in cases and spread if there are no timely and proactive measures to prevent and control dengue fever, the People's Committee of Thang Dien commune requested sectors and units to strengthen the work of preventing and controlling dengue fever.

Binh An, Binh Trung, and Binh Tu Health Stations established a shock team to eradicate mosquito larvae in villages, especially villages with cases of the disease. Together with the villages, vigorously implement environmental sanitation campaigns and eradicate mosquito larvae in the area in October and maintain a frequency of 1-2 times per week in high-risk areas and areas with high mosquito, mosquito larvae and mosquito larvae; 2 times per month for the remaining areas.

Conduct investigations and monitor cases and patient situations at the station and in the community; grasp existing and old dengue outbreaks and areas at high risk of outbreaks to take timely measures to control and prevent outbreaks.
