Previously, on September 12, the Social Insurance of Quang Nam province reported to the People's Committee of Tam Ky city on the situation of late payment of Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Accident Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, Labor - Occupational Disease Insurance (SI, HI, UI, BHTNLĐ-BNN) in August 2023.

Accordingly, by August 2023, there were 310 units in the area that were 3 months or more behind in payment, with an amount of more than VND 24,164 billion. Units and businesses that are still in operation still have an amount of 100 million VND or more in arrears or 12 months or more of VND 15,441 billion.

Administrative units, unions, commune and ward officials... have overdue payments of 1 month or more of more than 1.1 billion VND.

To ensure the legitimate rights and interests of employees, the People's Committee of Tam Ky City requests that units that are late in paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance strictly comply with current laws on collection and payment of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance; be responsible for participating and fully and promptly paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance every month for employees according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance and Health Insurance.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tam Ky City coordinates with the Social Insurance of Quang Nam Province and related sectors of the city to strengthen inspection and examination of labor, employment, occupational safety and hygiene, social insurance at enterprises, especially enterprises that owe or evade social insurance payment; advise on strict handling of violations.

“Request the City Labor Federation to direct grassroots unions in the area, especially organizing union work at agencies and units that are late in paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance for employees, to perform the responsibility of representing and fighting to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees in implementing labor contracts, social insurance, health insurance, etc. according to regulations,” Mr. Lai emphasized.
