Strengthening propaganda on drug prevention and control in the new situation

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province has just sent a dispatch to press agencies and People's Committees of communes and wards to promote propaganda on drug prevention and control. The activity aims to raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society in fighting, preventing and gradually pushing back drug abuse in the area.

Strengthening propaganda to raise public awareness in drug prevention, control and combat

Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests press agencies; People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on disseminating key contents according to Conclusion No. 132-KL/TW dated March 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 93/NQ-CP dated April 16, 2025 of the Government on continuing to implement Directive No. 36-CT/TW. In particular, focusing on key and complicated drug areas and high-risk groups such as youth, teenagers, students, workers and laborers in industrial parks and export processing zones.

The propaganda content focuses on raising public awareness in drug prevention, control and combat; building a culture of drug eradication in the community; mobilizing people not to participate in the illegal transportation and trading of drugs, not to grow plants containing drugs and promptly detect and denounce violations.

The content of the document also emphasizes the integration of drug prevention and control propaganda into cultural, sports, tourism and educational activities; building short, memorable and easy-to-spread messages. Press agencies need to increase broadcasting time and frequency, especially during peak viewing hours, to propagate the law, the harmful effects of drugs, and introduce typical examples and effective addiction treatment models.

At the same time, strengthen the application of information technology and social networks in communication; diversify forms and measures of propaganda, focusing on the grassroots to promote the highest efficiency. Thereby, raising awareness and responsibility of people, households and the whole society in drug prevention and control, contributing to maintaining security and order and building a healthy cultural life in the province.
