Training on Application of software to read text on smartphones for blind people

BTO-On the morning of May 17, the Provincial Association of the Blind organized a training course on "Application of software to read documents in Word, Excel, PDF, JPG formats on smartphones for the blind".

Nearly 50 members of the blind association attended the training course.

To use the software application to read Word, PDF, JPG, Excel files on smartphones for the blind, the student using the phone must be using the Talkback application software "converting text to speech", and the phone must have installed or be using a Zalo or Gmail account.

Through Envision AI software, users will be able to recognize objects, read text, recognize faces, recognize voices, read QR codes, barcodes, provide color information and many other features.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huong - Chairman of the Provincial Blind Association, shared: " Through this training course, members will have easy access to smart devices , be able to look up and read documents, social networking platforms, use text reading in image files , opening up new horizons , helping blind people expand their knowledge. This is a source of motivation to overcome complexes, promote intelligence as well as in work.

Get closer to technology

At the training class, technicians guide the installation and operations when using software to read text in Word, Excel, PDF, JPG formats on smartphones for blind people to serve their work.
