Continuous shifts
During these days, on Vo Van Kiet Street; the roads leading to both ends of Dragon Bridge; the service road and the eastern road leading to Tran Thi Ly Bridge; National Highway 14B (section Km0 - Km23+402), the road west of Tien Son Bridge... workers are urgently filling and leveling each section of the road surface, completing it in time before the rainy and stormy season.
According to the Department of Construction, after a long time of use, many roads have appeared peeling and sagging. Maintenance units are increasing manpower and machinery, taking advantage of favorable weather to construct and complete as soon as possible.
Da Nang is a tourist city with high traffic density, especially trucks and buses moving in and out of the port and airport. After heavy rains, many roads quickly deteriorate, crack, and peel. Small potholes quickly become dangerous “traps” when flooded, posing potential accidents for motorcyclists.
To ensure the safety of road users, many degraded sections on National Highway 14B (section Km0 - Km23+402) have been repaired. Nguyen Van Dung, a technology car driver, said: "Previously, this section was unsafe to go through because of many potholes, but now the road has been patched and runs much smoother."

Ms. Tran Thi Le, resident of Ngu Hanh Son ward, shared: “Every time it rains, the potholes are flooded, making it extremely dangerous to ride a motorbike. The authorities repaired them in time before the storm season, so people don’t have to worry. Beautiful roads not only ensure safety but also preserve the urban beauty, so tourists coming to Da Nang will have a better impression.”
According to the construction unit representative, due to the high traffic volume during peak hours, repairs are difficult to carry out. Therefore, many units choose to work through lunch and late at night. Mr. Tran Van Phuoc, a worker directly involved in road patching, said: "The work is hard, but we are used to it. We just hope to finish it on time so that people can travel safely, especially when storms and floods are coming."
Mr. Le Van Nam, construction supervisor, shared: “The biggest difficulty is the weather. If it suddenly rains, we have to stop and wait for the road surface to dry before continuing construction. Therefore, we have to take advantage of every sunny hour, dividing into shifts to work continuously. The general spirit is not to let the damaged road affect the people.”

Priority treatment of degraded roads
Mr. Truong Bang Linh, Director of the Danang Infrastructure Maintenance Board, said that the unit is carrying out repairs and maintenance on a number of roads in the city to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic and urban aesthetics. For example, repairing damaged Vo Van Kiet Street; the approach roads at both ends of Dragon Bridge; the service road and the approach road east of Tran Thi Ly Bridge; National Highway 14B (section Km0 - Km23+402).
At the same time, repair, adjust, and strengthen traffic safety at intersections such as: Nguyen Luong Bang - Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Khuyen, Nguyen Van Cu - Ngo Xuan Thu, Nguyen Huu Tho - Duy Tan - Le Dinh Ly; repair and damage curbs and sidewalks on Van Don Street (section from Binh Than to Bui Quoc Hung), Ly Tu Trong Street (section from Dong Da Street intersection to Thanh Son Street intersection)...

The unit is also completing procedures to start repairing damaged Nguyen Sinh Sac street surface; renovating curbs and sidewalks on Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Luong Bang and Nguyen Van Cu axes.
At the same time, we are preparing to invest in a number of projects and will start construction at the end of the year, such as: Repairing damaged Nguyen Huu Tho Street (from Cach Mang Thang Tam to Xo Viet Nghe Tinh), Hoang Thi Loan Street; implementing solutions to enhance traffic safety on Hoang Sa Street from the intersection of Le Van Luong Street to Intercontinental Tourist Area...
The Department of Construction said that the city has directed its affiliated units to urgently review and list all damaged roads. Seriously degraded areas that affect safety will be given priority for immediate treatment. Focusing on repairing degraded and damaged roads not only brings safety and convenience to people but also demonstrates Da Nang's determination to build a modern, synchronous transport infrastructure system to serve socio -economic development.
On August 29, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 1236/QD-UBND approving the investment project to build and repair the technical infrastructure of Hoa Khanh Industrial Park with a total investment of more than 30 billion VND. The project belongs to Group C, from the city budget, with implementation period from 2023 to 2025. Including traffic, drainage, water supply, and sidewalk renovation items. In particular, the traffic item includes road surface repair for damaged routes, including routes: No. 3, No. 4, No. 7, No. 9. Synchronously deploy traffic organization items to ensure compliance with regulations...
