Canadian retailer Best Buy mistakenly listed version 2.0 of Sony's PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller on its website. The retailer has since removed the leaked information and images, but several gaming news websites have picked up on the information.
The Best Buy listing shows the PlayStation 5 V2 DualSense wireless controller, which has yet to be released. It looks exactly like its predecessor, and even has the same price of CAD 89.99. The Sony Store online website in Vietnam currently lists the predecessor at VND 2.1 million.
A Swiss retail website is still listing Sony's DualSense v2 wireless controller.
The highlight of this newly leaked product is the improved battery life, Best Buy Canada has mentioned that the V2 is capable of up to 12 hours of gameplay on a single charge. For those who own the current PS5 DualSense controller, they are probably used to 6 hours of use before needing to recharge.
The accessory includes a DualSense charging dock that comes with Sony's new generation wireless controller. The weight of this product is advertised as 280g, significantly lighter than its predecessor (360g). Currently, a Swiss retail website has also listed the product in white and camo green.
At the CES 2024 event, Sony also demonstrated a car that was controlled and parked using the DualSense wireless controller.
