On this occasion, more than 395 thousand fish species such as shrimp, loach, snakehead fish, catfish, goby, and mullet were released into the Dong Nai River.

These are two of the province's key water areas with key development in the aquaculture industry.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that natural aquatic resources in the province are increasingly declining seriously in both species composition and output due to the impact of nature and humans. Some fish species have disappeared, some species have been and are facing the risk of extinction in the wild.

This activity of releasing fish back into the wild aims to launch the movement "All people participate in protecting and regenerating aquatic resources, joining hands to release aquatic species into natural waters" to contribute to the recovery and regeneration of aquatic resources. Thereby, turning the release of fish to regenerate aquatic resources into a practical emulation movement to contribute to the recovery and regeneration of aquatic species that are declining in the wild, supplementing aquatic resources of species with economic value, indigenous, endemic to natural waters...
