Ready to join the emulation movement
Dong Nai is currently home to 10 state-recognized religions with 2.5 million followers out of a total population of nearly 4.5 million in Dong Nai.
According to comrade Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in recent times, religious organizations have not only cared for spiritual life but also strongly promoted the spirit of living a "good life, good religion", the tradition of "protecting the country, bringing peace to the people", accompanying the government and the Fatherland Front at all levels in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and social security work.
Specifically, implementing the Program of Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, religions have actively contributed to the completion of more than 2,000 solid houses with the whole province. In the process of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, religions have coordinated to mobilize the renovation and repair of more than 35km of roads and 6 cultural and sports works. Activities such as the Military-Civilian Tet, gratitude to meritorious families, support for people in difficult circumstances, etc. have also been closely coordinated by religious organizations with the government. Particularly from the beginning of 2025 up to now, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized religious organizations and many individuals to register to contribute over 58 billion VND to social security programs, etc.

Protestants number over 80,000 people, the rest are followers of other religions. The number of followers of these religions is active in 2.2 thousand parishes, monasteries, religious orders, churches, shrines...
During the last term, Dong Nai province was a major construction site of the country when many key national, regional and provincial projects were implemented. Each project was associated with land acquisition, site clearance and dignitaries and officials took the lead in agreeing to hand over land to implement the project.
Venerable Thich Hue Khai, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, said: When the province implemented the Bien Hoa City Central Road Project (now in Tran Bien Ward), nearly 4,000 square meters of land in the Provincial Association Pagoda were reclaimed. Buddhist dignitaries agreed and quickly handed over the land to the State.
According to Father Tran Xuan Thao, Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee in Dong Nai province, during the implementation of the Long Thanh International Airport Project, two parishes had to be completely cleared. After the discussion, the parishes immediately complied with the relocation policy.
Accompanying the development of Dong Nai
Implementing the policy of the Party and State: Citizens have the right to freedom of belief and religion, to follow or not to follow any religion; Law on Belief and Religion No. 02/2016/QH14, dated November 18, 2016, was passed by the National Assembly and took effect on January 1, 2018. Over the past time, along with the whole country, Dong Nai has always been consistent in creating conditions for religions to operate stably.
According to comrade Huynh Thi Hang, in recent times, provincial leaders and departments have visited and congratulated many places of worship; on major holidays and important events of the province and the country, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province have organized meetings to inform and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of dignitaries and officials on important issues of the country and the province.
Father Do Duc Luc, Chief of Office of Xuan Loc Diocese, said: During Christmas, military units celebrate this holiday for Catholic youth who are performing military service. This is a great spiritual concern for Catholic youth who are enlisting in the army and the entire Catholic community. This further motivates dignitaries, officials and parishioners to encourage their children to join the army.
