Thaco exports painted car bodies and Kia New Carnival car components to India

At Chu Lai port ( Quang Nam ), Thaco Auto has just exported a batch of painted car bodies and Kia New Carnival car parts to Kia India. This is the first batch under the Production and Export Cooperation Contract previously signed by the two parties with a total revenue of nearly 50 million USD.

In June 2024, Thaco Auto produced and brought the painted body kits and components of the Kia New Carnival sample to the Indian market for production and testing. The products meet the requirements of technology, standards, and quality, and are highly appreciated by the Kia India partner. The Kia New Carnival body kits and components are manufactured at the leading automobile assembly and production center in Southeast Asia. With modern technology lines and equipment transferred from Kia Group (Korea), Thaco Kia's products meet Kia's strict global technical standards. In particular, the paint line uses advanced "wet on wet" paint technology with an automatic paint supply system, helping the car body's paint surface to be sturdy, increasing its resistance to scratches and acid corrosion during use. The car body structure is strictly calculated and tested using a car body accuracy testing system (3D CMM).

Since 2012, the Thaco Kia factory has been selected by Kia Group as a unit for training, supervising, providing technical support, and consulting on production technology processes for many Kia brand CKD assembly enterprises in Ecuador, Pakistan, Myanmar, India, Uzbekistan... The entire shipment of painted car bodies and Kia New Carnival car components exported directly to India this time from Chu Lai port took place safely and quickly. The cooperation of Chu Lai port with international container shipping line RCL to exploit additional international shipping routes, connecting directly to Chennai - Kolkata - Kattupalli ports (India) has created convenience in importing and exporting goods, reducing time and costs, and increasing the competitiveness of Thaco Auto products in the Indian market. In recent years, Thaco Auto has continuously expanded its market, exporting vehicles and spare parts to many countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, India, etc. Currently, Thaco Auto continues to invest, research and transfer technology, upgrade technological lines towards automation and digital management to improve production capacity and product quality; at the same time, research the quality standards of potential markets, opening up opportunities for extensive cooperation with international partners.
