7 key projects in Thai Binh are being implemented, including: Residential housing development project in Dong Hoa commune (Thai Binh city); LNG electricity and gas center project; New urban housing development project in Tan Binh commune and Tien Phong ward (Thai Binh city); Provincial General Hospital construction investment project in the Provincial Medical Center; VSIP Thai Binh industrial park infrastructure construction and business investment project; Con Vanh - Con Thu high-end commercial service urban area and Con Vanh golf course project.
Mr. Ngo Dong Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - spoke at the conference.
Recently, at the Steering Committee meeting to implement the above-mentioned key projects, members focused on discussing the implementation status and progress of key projects and works; analyzing the difficulties and obstacles affecting the progress of project implementation.
Accordingly, the difficulties and problems are mainly related to site clearance, land use targets, relocation of infrastructure works within the project scope and resettlement for people whose land has been recovered. In addition, investment and project implementation procedures related to the Central Ministries and branches have not been resolved promptly.
Mr. Ngo Dong Hai - Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Steering Committee - emphasized: With its potential, advantages, investment incentive mechanisms and policies, and development orientation in recent times, Thai Binh province is becoming a new destination for domestic and foreign investors. Therefore, the province needs to proactively grasp and take advantage of opportunities to create maximum conditions in terms of procedures to support investors in implementing projects in the area, thereby contributing to creating changes in the face and stature, promoting the socio -economic development of the province.
The Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee also requested that members of the Steering Committee and departments, branches and localities in the coming time need to uphold their sense of responsibility, focus maximum time and enthusiasm, proactively and resolutely remove difficulties and obstacles in legal procedures.
At the same time, departments, branches and local authorities need to review, evaluate, survey, develop plans and organize site clearance plans to promptly hand over to investors to start the project; strengthen coordination and unification between departments, branches and localities in handling work.
The Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee requested that the competent authorities and local authorities must clearly define the responsibilities of each level, each sector, and each individual in implementing the tasks; continue to focus on directing and accelerating the progress of each specific project, and have solutions to remove difficulties in each project according to their authority. For problems beyond their authority, promptly advise and report to the Steering Committee to take measures to urge and handle them to ensure the progress of project implementation.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - spoke at the conference.
In the Thai Binh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1735/QD-TTg dated December 29, 2023, Thai Binh City is oriented to be the core urban area of one of the three urban centers.
Thai Binh is currently prioritizing synchronous and modern investment in important and breakthrough transport infrastructure projects; routes connecting to the economic zones in the Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast of the province, Thai Binh Economic Zone, industrial parks, and Con Vanh - Con Thu Tourist Area to create new competitive advantages and shorten the development gap with other provinces in the region.
Accordingly, the Planning orients 3 economic corridors including the Eastern economic corridor with two urban centers playing a counterweight role to Thai Binh city, Tien Hai urban area and Thai Thuy urban area, connecting the Northeast - Southwest axis; the Northwest corridor connecting with peripheral areas with neighboring provinces (Hung Yen, Ha Nam) and towards Hanoi and the Northeast - Southwest economic corridor connecting from the North Central provinces to Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province.
