" Some specialized bicycles used for individual time trial events are worth up to 250 million VND each, including those of racers Nguyen Tuan Vu and Nguyen Thi Thu Mai. The remaining bicycles, including that of athlete Nguyen Thi That, are also worth no less than 150 million VND, " said a representative of the Vietnam Motor Cycling Federation.
Despite having new equipment for the competition, the Vietnamese cycling team will face many disadvantages. The athletes only have one evening to get used to the bikes and pedals before the start of the race.
