Specifically, garments increased by 8.9%, footwear of all kinds increased by 9.6%; exported tiles of all kinds increased by 7.1%; canned fruits increased by 6.7%; surimi fish cakes exported increased by 2.3%. However, overall exports in the first 8 months of 2023 still faced many difficulties because the demand for imported goods in some major markets has not yet recovered.

Total export value in the first 8 months of 2023 is estimated at 3,353 million USD, equal to 88.8% over the same period and 61% of the yearly plan.

Thanh Hoa Province Department of Industry and Trade said that difficulties in export markets are still continuing, therefore, export units in the province need to proactively monitor market developments closely, grasp recovery signals of each industry and each market to improve production capacity and promote exports in the coming time.

Speaking to a reporter from the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Mr. Le Huy Tuan, Head of the Planning - Finance - General Department of the Department of Industry and Trade of Thanh Hoa province, said: " Goods export activities in the last months of 2023 will grow, but it will be difficult to make up for the first months of the year. Therefore, the possibility of export activities by the end of 2023 will only reach about 5,300 USD, or about 96% of the set plan of 5,500 million USD ."
