VHO - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong has just signed Official Dispatch No. 4267/BVHTTDL-DSVH to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province on the Project to preserve, renovate, restore and embellish a number of construction items in the Inner Citadel area of ​​the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel (Phase I of Project Group No. 3), Thanh Hoa province.

According to the Official Dispatch, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received Submission No. 4257/TTr-SVHTTDL of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province requesting the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to unify the content of the Project dossier on Conservation, restoration, rehabilitation and embellishment of a number of construction items in the Inner Citadel area of ​​the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel (Phase 1 of Project Group No. 3) and information about the Project to the World Heritage Committee (UNESCO) according to the provisions of Paragraph 172 of the Guidelines for the implementation of the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage (1972 Convention).

After review, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism determined that, regarding the plan to renovate, restore and embellish a number of construction items, the Project Document for Preservation, Restoration, Restoration and Embellishment of a number of construction items in the Inner Citadel area of ​​the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel (Phase I of Project Group No. 3) has been revised, supplemented and completed according to the opinions of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Official Dispatch No. 2150/BVHTTDL-DSVH with the following contents: Renovating and preserving the archaeological foundations of the works; Renovating and restoring the Southern Moat, Royal Road; Renovating and waterproofing the South Gate; Renovating the landscape and building technical infrastructure...

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism noted that the projects for restoration and conservation of the Hoang Nguyen Palace archaeological foundation; the projects for restoration and rehabilitation of the Southern Moat and Royal Road; the projects for restoration and waterproofing of the South Gate... need to have a synchronous and well-organized design plan to ensure accuracy in serving the conservation and promotion of heritage values.

Regarding the information about the Project to the World Heritage Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism agreed to let the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, after completing the project, report to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and send a document to the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO requesting a diplomatic note to notify the World Heritage Center.

Official dispatch informing the Provincial People's Committee about the implementation of the Project on Conservation, Renovation, Restoration and Embellishment of a number of construction items in the Inner Citadel area of ​​the World Cultural Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel (attached with the Project dossier and related documents - English version) according to the Plan for Management of the World Heritage of the Ho Dynasty Citadel for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2040 approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
