Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Justice Trinh Xuan Tung said that in recent times, the Youth Union of the Ministry has actively implemented the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms with many specific activities such as: advising on policies; propagating through images and warning videos; organizing forums, seminars, and thematic activities; launching a commitment to "say no to cigarette smoke" in the workplace; attaching identification symbols at headquarters; including criteria for prevention and control of tobacco harms in annual assessments and rewards... Thanks to that, the situation of union members and young people smoking in units under the Ministry has decreased sharply, and is now very rare.

Mr. Tung commented that today's program is one of the practical and specific activities of the unit in propagating and raising awareness of union members, youth and students about the harmful effects of tobacco. Thereby, actively contributing to building a healthy lifestyle and a smoke-free environment for Vietnamese youth.
In the future, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Justice hopes that the Program Organizing Committee will continue to research, innovate, and diversify methods of education , propaganda, and dissemination of tobacco harm prevention and control through mass media, entertainment products, thematic talks, training programs, etc.

The highlight of the program is the signing ceremony of the commitment to "say no to cigarettes, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products" by the grassroots Youth Unions under the Ministry of Justice, along with the talk show "Judicial students say no to cigarettes, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products".

Hoang Bao Quan, a student of the 48th course of Hanoi Law University, shared that the program includes many practical and meaningful activities to help each member and youth in the judiciary sector gain deeper awareness and act more effectively in building a healthy, tobacco-free learning and working environment as well as clearly understand preventive measures and support the community in preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco from a practical perspective.
