Unbelievable red card at UEFA Europa Conference

(NLDO) - A rare situation occurred in the Conference League Play-off round, when the stadium announcer received a red card and was expelled from the match like a team member.

The match between Basaksehir (Türkiye) and CS Universitatea Craiova (Romania) became chaotic in the final minutes of the match on August 29. Basaksehir was leading 1-0 (bringing the total to 2-2) but Craiova came back to win 3-1 and won the ticket to the next round with a total score of 5-2.

However, Craiova's third goal sparked a huge brawl between players and coaches from both sides in the final 10 minutes. A series of red cards were shown. Most surprisingly, the referee also sent off Craiova's home announcer, who was celebrating the Romanian team's third goal.

However, the specific reason has not been announced by UEFA, European media are still contacting to clarify this "unprecedented" incident in football history.

The unusual incident in the Basaksehir match also ended a turbulent week for Turkish football. Along with Fenerbahce, Samsunspor and Besiktas, they all stopped early in the European arena.
