Young generation fuels the epic

From the battlefields of the past to the training grounds of today, the young generation continues to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, writing the heroic epic with their youth, intelligence and steadfast faith in the Party and the Fatherland.

Having just started his training work, Lieutenant Vo Van Toan - Platoon Leader of 12.7mm Platoon, Battalion 512, Regiment 892, Provincial Military Command said: “I always keep in mind that before asking soldiers to be serious, I must be serious myself first. Before teaching others to train their will, I must train myself. I was once a new soldier, struggled in the early days of training, felt pressured by the disciplined and challenging environment. But it was those years that helped me forge the most important thing - a persistent will, not to give up”.

When he became a cadre, he understood even more that all words are meaningless without exemplary actions. Therefore, this peacetime soldier demonstrates his will through simple things: Always be on time, not even 1 minute late. Always complete his own tasks well; do not back down in the face of difficulties. He does not want to become a soldier who listens to the commander just because of rank, but also because the soldiers trust and voluntarily follow. The confidences of Lieutenant Vo Van Toan show that taking on the role of leading and inspiring soldiers is not easy. But with persistent efforts, the young cadres of Battalion 512 are continuing the tradition of the previous generation, so that everyone can move forward steadily on the challenging military path.

Political lessons are taught continuously in the military environment, in many forms. On this year's National Day, Private Huynh Thanh Phat - Company 2, Battalion 512 was reviewed by the unit about historical traditions, especially the 1945 Declaration of Independence by President Ho Chi Minh. "For us, young soldiers, the Declaration reminds us not to be indifferent to history, and even more so, not to live irresponsibly towards the present. Therefore, our youth's mission is not only to preserve the independence that our ancestors won, but also to live up to the spirit of the Declaration, contributing our youth to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new era," Phat expressed.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van I Nit - Secretary of the Youth Union of Regiment 892 said: "On every major holiday or important event of the country or the unit, we organize a discussion, aiming to arouse the pride and responsibility of the young generation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, we create a useful and healthy playground, improve spiritual life, train health, contribute to building a rich and healthy cultural and spiritual life for cadres, soldiers, union members and youth".

In recent times, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have directed the Youth Union organizations in the provincial armed forces to promote the movement "Youth of the Army cultivates morality, trains talent, is proactive, creative, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era"; launch and carry out high-point emulation and raid campaigns according to the instructions of superiors, proactively carry out the political tasks of agencies and units, practically achieve the highest achievements to celebrate the anniversary; organize youth seminars with the theme "Immortal spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2"; "Youth of the Army is proactive, creative, competing to reach the peaks"; "Youth of the Army proudly marches forward under the Party flag".

Each youth union base has at least one youth project or task associated with each event. Each agency and unit, based on the situation, in accordance with the conditions and capabilities of the unit, organizes for cadres, union members, and youth to march to their roots, visit and learn about historical sites and relics associated with the traditions of the army and the unit; combines organizing activities to show gratitude, repay gratitude, social security, report achievements, and commend advanced models and exemplary youth; promotes the implementation of the youth union member training program; strengthens training and introduces outstanding union members to propose admission to the Party on September 2; welcomes the 11th Military Emulation Congress, the 12th Military Party Congress, and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Colonel Cao Minh Tam - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command affirmed: "Through practical actions, the youth of the armed forces of the province wish to contribute to educating , encouraging, motivating cadres, union members, youth and people to continue promoting the patriotic tradition, the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army; the spirit of patriotic emulation, the will of self-reliance, daring to innovate and creatively and determined to innovate, not afraid of difficulties, hardships, sacrifices, and excellently completing the task. Expressing deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations is also a way for today's youth to strengthen their faith and promote their responsibility for the task of building the army, consolidating national defense and security, contributing to building a prosperous and happy country and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland".
